Olympic Flame Relay in Calvados (France): Two Riders from the Longines International Horse Center Equipped by Aurak Protection
On May 30, 2024, 24 riders will relay the Olympic flame across the famous Omaha Beach. Franck Le Mestre, Director of the Longines International Horse Center in Deauville, and Norman Ouakil, star rider of the Okoo series "Au Galop," will be among the relay riders. Both will be equipped with equestrian helmets from the French brand Aurak Protection.
Paris 2024 is a major event for France, and the Olympic flame relay is one of the most symbolic moments of this celebration. "A symbol of unity and peace, the flame spreads the spirit of the Games wherever it passes, marking the beginning of the celebrations." For its passage through Calvados, the flame will light up on Omaha Beach, where 24 riders and their horses will follow one another.
In this historic celebration, Franck Le Mestre, General and Norman Ouakil will be equipped with the Gibson horseriding helmet by the French brand Aurak Protection.
“The Flame Relay is an opportunity for the FFE to engage its clubs across France around the Olympic Games. They drive the sport daily and train the champions of tomorrow. The passage of the Flame will excite the crowds who will support our athletes up to the Olympic podium.”
Serge Lecomte, President of the French Equestrian Federation (FFE)
